Saudi Arabia has relied heavily on foreign workers to work on vocational jobs. This resulted in high job demand and supply imbalance as many private companies call for more vocational workers and with Saudis avoiding such jobs. The unemployment trend poses a challenge that the government has to resolve in order to achieve the Kingdom's goals of having a diverse and an advanced knowledge economy.

This report describes the issues that the Kingdom faces in terms of labor shortage. It lays out the sectors that are looking to hire more workers. It also provides the measures that the Kingdom is undertaking to correct the problem.
