"The Age of the South"describes the rise of the middle class in the southern part of the world. It is a part of a larger paper named "Middle East 2030", which is created with the objective of providing quality information about the future global economic trends.

In the coming decades, the world will see a shift in the economic power from the north to the south and from the west to the east. Rapid income growth in Asia and, to a lesser extent, South America and Africa will see billions of people transition out of poverty and into the middle income classes. The power houses of the new world economy are China and India. This economic shift will build new export markets, trade relations, business models and cultural ties. We are stepping into the Asian Century.
